Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on August 13, 2026, issued a circular regarding guidelines in pursuance of the amendment to the SEBI KYC (Know Your Client) Registration Agency (KRA) Regulations, 2011.

The following has been stated: -

•MCX has directed Trading Members to ensure that clients’ KYC details are uploaded with KRAs and only clients with “KYC Registered” or “KYC Validated” status are permitted to trade. 

•Clients whose KYC remains “On Hold” for details uploaded between July 1–31, 2026, will be barred from trading or squaring off open positions from August 31, 2026 until validation. 

•Subsequently validated PANs will be permitted to trade from T+1 after confirmation from the KRA. Members must also monitor open positions of non-validated clients and ensure compliance.
